“You’re not the real champ until you defend your title.” So, let’s see what Angela “Unstoppable” Lee is made up this coming March in Bangkok Thailand. She’ll be fighting Taiwanese Jenny Huang and defending the ONE Women’s Atomweight title for the first time.
Lee was made to work really hard for her title. After a series of dominant submission finishes, the Singapore-based fighter had to go five full rounds against Japanese stalwart, Mei Yamaguchi. In the end, Lee won via unanimous decision.
Like Lee, 25-year-old Huang is undefeated in her mixed martial arts career. She has won five times, with the three most recent bouts ending in submissions. Most notably, she executed a rare gogoplata on Filipino fighter April Osenio.
Thailand strawweight contenders Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke and Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai, as well as featherweight standout Shannon “One Shin” Wiratchai and real-life love interest Rika “The Smiling Assassin” Ishige should also feature in the Thai card.
