Great artists often find new ways to inspire themselves. Chef Janice Wong, who is well known for her arresting and very sweet interpretations, took the tasting notes and style of The Macallan No. 2 and created an edible forest.
Members of the press and influentiers were invited to pick stuff off the forest and eat them ala Hansel and Gretel. This time, the ending was sweet. There were mushrooms made using toffee caramel, chocolate soil, yuzu gumballs and vials of ginger lemon that guests could drink off the wall.
The four zones within the forest represented the four collaborators behind the Edition No. 2 – Joan Roca, Josep Roca, Bob Dalgarno and Jordi Roca.
